Recap:

We had a great meeting with Robert Tarsia, Director of Audit, and his staff, Raphaella Nau and Jeremy Harbin.  He shared the 2012-13 Audit Plan, which includes Audit's involvement with the new Financial System Implementation, new Student Information Systems, and Procurement Gateway.  In addition, he shared the result of the campus-wide Shadow Systems Audit, which will be posted on the ABOG web site shortly if you are interested in reviewing.  Overall, the report was very positive regarding the use of shadow systems within departments and the continued need for them, even with a new financial system on the horizon.

Robert also shared some insight on the recent NSF audit.  The campus is waiting for the report to be published, and while the report is not completely positive, Robert feels very strongly that we will be able to work with the auditors and other agencies to clarify their comments and rectify any issues.
